The 2009 MLS rookie class is experiencing all the highs and lows of life in the pros, and Omar Gonzalez is one of those players.

The Galaxy defender experienced the high of scoring his first goal (vs. Colorado on Sunday), while also feeling the lows of being beaten on goals that led to an LA defeat (3-2, to the Rapids). Gonzalez, one of the subjects of the video series Rookie Life: Diary of a Draft Pick, shares his take on adjusting to life with a pro team and making the transition from draft pick to member of the squad.

Here is the fourth episode of the Rookie Life series:

I love this series, wish I could say the same about Gonzalez and our defense though haha

How amazing would it be if Chris Pontius scored a goal then did the party boy dance as his celebration?!?!

he would deserve a call up for sure

  4. Leonardo says:

what’s up with the super-sappy music? it’s like funeral music. what in tarnation?!

  5. Joseph D'Hippopotamus says:

No room for talented youngsters. Arena pronbably wants Berhalter and Senneh in the middle. He will probably insert Klein at Right Fullback. I think Arena might try to bring Greg Vanney or Ante Jazic out of retirement to play Left Fullback. Maybe Eli Allen and Alvaro Pires can return also.

Lewis, Miglorazi, Gordon, Kirovski already there to fill things out……..Arena would like to create the slowest team in the league.

Computer sucks with these videos, I can’t watch this resolution. Checked out MLS’s site, and they are all on there in 400k, NO BUFFERING heyooooooo. MLS is the producers of these videos, not TFC.

  7. JesseMT says:

If Arena plays Berhalter and Sanneh together in the middle, he should be fired. Hey Galaxy, Sounders fan here. I’ll trade you Peter Vagenas for Landon Donovan. Sound good?

    Interesting series

Man, these episodes are great! very well thought out and put together. I especially like the clips of these rookies from before they were drafted. It reminds you that they were the cream of the crop and now they’re just lowly rookies… for now.
