Wow if the Goalie played better they might have only lost 3-1. Valencia did not look like a third place team geez

  2. bryan says:

Thing is, Alves made a ton of nasty saves amyway. Lol

  3. Polo says:

The highlights do not do him justice. Barcelona had somewhere around 15 shots on goal. He was incredible.

  4. BCC says:

Barca trails Real Madrid by ten points in La Liga–why don’t you show highlights from the leader’s games?

Ronaldo hit an absolute golazo a week ago. Di Maria hit another stunner this past weekend.

Barca is not the best team in La Liga this year. Don’t shoot the messenger.

  5. Whoa says:

The headline should read Messi 5, Valencia 1.

  6. CroCajun says:

When it’s all said and done he may be remembered as the greatest of all time. We are privileged to watch this man play.

I HATE Barca, but you can’t argue with greatness.

  7. Spectra says:

Sorry should have put sarcasm at the end of my comments. Barcalona was out of control

  8. jon says:

Madrid’s win/loss record this season is insane and mourino and squad deserve huge props (and a la liga trophy) for playing so well, so consistently. but no one will really see them as the best in la liga, until they start beating barca.

  9. BCC says:

It depends entirely on your aesthetic. I personally liked the way Zidane played the game and think he is the best ever. I understand that a lot of people don’t even have him in the conversation. Oh well.

Messi and Maradona are similar players and their style of play doesn’t appeal to me.

Xavi is, to me, the best player on Barca’s squad. What has Messi ever done without Xavi?

  10. ElMetrofan says:

Barca is sick. They make it look so easy. Best team ever.

  11. Tom says:

There’s not a team in the world that would take Xavi over Messi, including Barcelona. Even if Xavi was 24.

Given any responsibility for a team, you would choose Messi also, or be the laughingstock of the soccer world.

  12. AdamFromMich says:

So, you’re saying they should have a playoff at the end of the season to determine the champion, instead of relying on the point total of a balanced schedule?
