Sadly the USMNT coaching staff doesn’t rate him.

21 years old, right side MF, scoring goals and getting minutes. Good times.

Probably see him in the January camp.

Next year he needs a transfer to Holland. A nice mid-table team for 2-3 years will do him well.

Eeredivisie clubs are looking at him as well. Wouldn’t mind seeing him head to AZ and play RW or LW and connect with Altidore. It would be fun to watch Altidore and Gatt play on the same club team.

I’m dreaming of Gatt tearing down the right wing, Dempsey moved up top to play off of Altidore or Boyd, and Timmy Chandler or Steve Cherundolo also coming up the right side to add even more pressure.

THis would be a big step for Gatt. He’s done very well in Norway, but Norway is something like the 27th best league in Europe, right between Bulgaria and Scotland. Plus, the winger position is very different in a 4-3-3. He’d have a lot to learn moving to a league like the Eredivisie. Which I guess is the point of moving.

He is certainly in the mold of a Lennon/Walcott type. Despite the flack that those guys get by folks on here, they would be two of the better players in the US pool. The thought of two speedy bastards like Gyau and Gatt marauding down both flanks is awesome…and god forbid, would lead to exciting/entertaining soccer.

When’s the last time you saw Robbie Rogers nutmeg a professional defender in the box before putting a rocket in the net?

Interesting prospect. Klinsmann probably isn’t ever going to lose his preference for the 4-5-1 and truthfully that probably suits the USA’s player pool best anyway, but except for Donovan there’s been a glaring need at both wing spots for awhile now. Brek Shea, if he gets his head glued on right, is probably the left mid of the future but we really haven’t seen Donovan’s heir apparent arise yet.

Despite perception, we have forwards. Gomez, Altidore, Wondolowski, Terrance Boyd…very promising group. We’re loaded with natural center mids from Dempsey (I really think he’s a natural center attacking mid though you can play him anywhere), Bradley, Jones, Edu and there’s a ton of names after that – Adu, Holden, Torres…even Beckerman won’t get us killed. REALLY like Osvaldo Alonso and if he ever gets in at holding mid I doubt anyone will get him out again for awhile. We’ve got a plethora of vets and youngsters at defender, especially now thanks to all those Cold War babies who grew up in Germany. And the USA has always had keepers even when we didn’t have field players.

But wingers? We’re anemically thin there, and losing out on Andy Najar to Honduras didn’t help. Gatt could find himself starting for team USA sooner than anybody thinks, I suspect. I do not like the signs I’m seeing from Landon Donovan these days.

“U.S. Soccer has been in contact with my coach keeping up with how I’ve been doing,” said Gatt. “Jurgen and Ole have had many talks, and there’s been a couple of times where they’ve chosen me to come into a camp as a reserve or a back-up if someone got injured, and that was before they had really seen me play in Norway.

“But just recently, actually, a scout came from U.S. Soccer to watch me play and they were here so they saw me play in Norway and there might be chances that I might be called into a couple of camps in the future. But it’s all up in the air and nothing I can really focus on, otherwise I’d get too distracted.”

That would be awesome, but Beerens is a pretty talented Right Winger for AZ so I don’t know how much time he would get there, and I don’t know how comfortable he is on the left?
