Brazil and Japan may already be qualified for the quarterfinals and Spain and United Arab Emirates may already be eliminated, but the remaining 12 teams in the men's Olympic soccer tournament still have all to play for.

From Great Britain to Mexico to Uruguay, a dozen teams will be vying for one of the last six berths into the quarterfinals of the Summer Games when the final round of group stage matches kickoff on Wednesday morning. The fun begins with a simultaneous Group C doubleheader, as Brazil and New Zealand square off at St. James' Park while Egypt and Belarus battle inside of Hampden Park.

El Tri will be part of the next round of games in the afternoon and their Group B clash with Switzerland is a vital one. Giovani Dos Santos, Marco Fabian and the rest of Mexico need only a point to secure advancement in the tournament, but the Swiss will be desperate for a victory to keep their Olympic dreams alive.

The final round of matches of the day include one of the more tantalizing games of the group stage. Great Britain and Uruguay will face off in a Group A match at Millenium Stadium and both still face the real possibility of elimination should they lose and should Senegal beat already-eliminated United Arab Emirates.

Here is a full rundown of Wednesday's final group stage matches:

9:30am- Brazil vs. New Zealand

9:30am- Egypt vs. Belarus

12pm- Mexico vs. Switzerland

12pm- South Korea vs. Gabon

12pm- Japan vs. Honduras

12pm- Spain vs. Morocco

2:45pm- Great Britain vs. Uruguay

2:45pm- Senegal vs. United Arab Emirates

Which teams do you see advancing to the quarterfinals? What matches are you most looking forward to? Still cannot fathom how Spain has already been eliminated?

While admitting that NZ is not the best yardstick, there seems to be a chasm between Brazil and anyone else that has played today.

In a match where they were only playing for pride, this Spanish squad showed that they really don’t have any – just a disappointing group of players.
