Agree with Deuce that it was a professional performance, except for that dive and resulting yellow. Must have learned it at White Hart Lane…

Watching the game again and saw that Bocanegra’s goal off the corner was the result of the hustle and hard work from Herculez who bounced the ball off of the Guatemalan defender who was planning on letting the ball roll out for a free kick. I doubt Jozy would have done that. I like Altidore, and feel he should be a part of the USMNNT, but I would not pick him to start over Herc. At this point, I wouldn’t pick him over EJ either. EJ worked extremely hard these past 2 games. Maybe Jozy just got a little too comfortable. Hopefully, this will serve as a wake-up call.

Am the only one who actually liked the late game substitution of Edu, where it brought of midfield 3 of Edu, Bradley, and Williams? Bradley almost seemed like he was the deepest of the 3, with Edu/Williams doing most of the running. Seems promising if we are up late in games that we can trot out a front 6 of Edu (subbed in for Zusi/EJ/whoever), Bradley, and Williams (without Williams on the wing) in midfield, with Donovan, Gomez (subbed in for Altidore late), and Dempsey up top.

    For example:

Good to see Klinnsmann playing so many skilled playrs. It took a while but Klinnsmann eventually realized the following aren’t starters: Edu, Ream, Beckerman, Shea, Altidore, Spector, Beasely and Klesjtan. Not saying these players are bad or don’t have their strongpoints. However, playing a few of them at one time reduces our possession and puts more stress on our skilled players to perfom.
