This weekend’s must-see fixture is the African Nations Cup final when Nigeria and Burkina Faso duke it out in Johannesburg.
Burkina Faso will be taking part in its first ever African Nations Cup final, and they have been handed a big boost following a successful appeal of striker Jonathan Pitroipa’s controversial red card in the semi-final match against Ghana.
Nigeria have won the competition on two previous occasions, will attempt to bring the trophy back home for the first time since 1994. Don’t miss it!
The intriguing English match-up of the weekend comes on Sunday when Everton visits Old Trafford.
Everton, who are unbeaten in their last five matches, will be faced with the impossible task of beating Manchester United at home, a place where the Red Devils have enjoyed a staggering 91% win percentage so far this season!
An in-form Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney, who have combined to score the same amount or more goals than six Premier League clubs this season, will give Everton’s back four nightmares, but Everton will remain optimistic after receiving the news that Marouane Fellaini will be fit for the match.

Has it been addressed (I’m guessing it has, at great length) here as to the reasons why there’s no American television of the African Cup of Nations? Between GolTV, FSC/FSC Plus, and BeInSport couldn’t one of them at least show the knockout stages? ESPN3 has never worked for me, I’m looking for television, nothing streaming (I know I’m old-fashioned, but streaming = major annoyance for me).
been lamenting the same thing among friends
i’m not the type that only wants Man U, Bayern, and Barcelona on the airwaves but
there’s no way in hell that some of the fixtures they show (Mallorca v Osasuna???) would be as exciting as these AFCON games
its a major tournament but isnt treated that way…espn3 isnt bad (its free) but watching football is best in a group
not much fun getting the family to crowd around a 15″ laptop screen
Looks like all those burkina faso jokes are actually coming true
Please provide more details about availability of Sky Fußball Bundesliga here in the US.
Breaking News: OTL reporting that several official CONCACAF (gold cup and wcq it looks like) matches involving El Salvador were fixed.
Chaos is about to break out in CONCACAF.
Oh Dear. I really hope it was just them and not a group thing.
Did that story come out in 2011? I remember El Salvador being investigated for Gold Cup match fixing.
why do you post european channels….. what american cable/satelite carries canal+ and sky?
because there are some americans abroad who follow the site
