The picture in the Pac-12 should become more clear after this weekend. The No.1 ranked California in SBI’s College Soccer Top 25 has a chance to stake its claim to the top spot on Friday before being able to watch No. 2 Washington and No. 9 UCLA play two more games this weekend. Both teams face a conference opponent Friday and then meet in Los Angeles on Sunday.

A top tilt in the Big East pits No. 5 Georgetown against No. 21 Marquette in a game between the conference’s top two teams. Another ranked matchup in the Big Ten sees No. 15 Northwestern travel to No. 14 Penn State.

Tenth-ranked Maryland will look to bounce back this weekend at Syracuse after the team’s first ACC loss of the season last week to No. 8 Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons visit Duke on Friday. Conference leaders and third-ranked Notre Dame will play host to Virginia on Saturday.

  1. Juan Carlos says:

Failed to mention the biggest rivalry in college soccer: UC Santa Barbara traveling north to take on Cal Poly.

    • Brian says:

I believe history has already been made in that game. A complete sellout (of an 11,000+ person football stadium) over 30 hours before kickoff. Even students can’t get into the game.

  2. Vic says:

Last year there was college soccer on ESPNU and CBSN, this year I haven’t seen any just women’s college soccer. Its unfortunate.

  3. Matt says:

Request to list the home team first as everyone else in soccer does. Plus that will give the proper context to each match.

  4. harkook son says:

Big Ten Network has men’s college soccer this weekend.
